Swift Is A Big Hit

Taylor Swift Is A Big Hit With 'Hannah Montana' Cast, Director

After singer's cameo, Peter Chelsom says he wants to work with Miley's BFF again.

HOLLYWOOD, California — Although Thursday night was all about Miley Cyrus, the other hot topic at the premiere of "Hannah Montana: The Movie" was Taylor Swift and her cameo as herself in the movie, opening April 10. For some, the country-crossover star's appearance on the set was a big thrill.

"It was cool," co-star Jason Earles told MTV News at the El Capitan Theatre. "I had to do the 'Hoedown Throwdown' that day, so I was working on the dance a little bit. But whenever she was singing and shooting, I was glued to the monitors and watching her sing, 'cause she's a very engaging performer."

Although Emily Osment wasn't there the day Taylor shot her part, Osment recalled that there was one thing about Swift people couldn't stop talking about. "The first thing I heard about Taylor wasn't [about] her, but it was about her incredible tour bus, which is crazy," she said. "I wanted to see that — I wanted to see Taylor too! She's wonderful."

Director Peter Chelsom was so taken with Swift that he has the bug to work with her again in the future. "She only did a day, but I've made a very big mental check to work with her again," Chelsom told E! Online. "If she walked in the room right now, I would say, 'Can we meet and talk about films you might want to do?' I don't have anything concrete, but I would be very keen to do something with her."

Cyrus On 'American Idol'

Miley Cyrus To Perform On 'American Idol'

Singer says she will appear on April 15 show; Tweets that Ryan Seacrest is 'wayyyy creeeppyyy!'

From one "American Idol" to the next: After a string of visits from "Idol" winners past — as well as this week's head-spinning Lady Gaga performance — the "Idol" stage will be graced by none other than Miley Cyrus on April 15.

While "Idol" has not yet announced the appearance, Cyrus revealed on her Web site on Thursday that she had just pre-taped the performance of her new single, "The Climb," for air in two weeks.

"Miley was so nervous to perform on 'Idol' and just before performing wrote [on her Twitter account], 'Wish me luck ... getting nervous! Time for 'Idol,' " according to an account on her site.

And that wasn't all Cyrus Tweeted about her visit to "Idol" on Wednesday. She also offered the update, "Whoo hoo performing! I love Allison [Iraheta]," she enthused, giving some props to the youngest remaining finalist in the competition, a fellow 16-year-old. A short time later, after taping her performance, Cyrus added, "Just did 'Idol' and met Allison! Vote for Allison, she rocks!!!!"

Following the recent revelation that the group numbers on "Idol" are lip-synched, Cyrus also made sure to explain that, "Just fyi, 'Idol' was pretaped because everrryy performer is pretaped on elimination night, that doesn't mean it's fake! I sang live 100 percent."

Also, FYI, after appearing on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Thursday morning, Cyrus blasted the "Idol" host on Twitter, writing, "Ryan Seacrest is scaring me!!! HELP! ... Ryan is wayyyy creeeppyyy! ... I am NOT kiddddnggg!"

A spokesperson for "Idol" — which typically does not reveal which artist will appear in the pre-taped performance segment on the next elimination show until the end of the previous elimination show — said she could not confirm Cyrus' appearance at press time. Reports have also surfaced that former "Idol" finalist Jennifer Hudson has pre-taped a performance for the show, but a spokesperson would also not confirm those rumors.

Cyrus also Tweeted that she was totally joking about marrying boyfriend Justin Gaston on Seacrest's show when she said "if he gets a pretty ring," in response to a question about a possible wedding in the future. "I am NOT getting married!" she explained. "I'm 16 and super focused on my career and just livinnggg life!".Oh lucky Miley!

Niley Hook Up Fir Charity

Miley Cyrus And Nick Jonas Hook Up For Charity

Stars are reportedly recording 'We Are the World'-style song for Disney.

What would it take to get exes Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus in the same room again? A huge payday? A roomful of flowers? How about an all-star Disney charity recording session?

E! Online is reporting that Nick and Miley (and Joe and Kevin) will join in a star-studded session for a song called "Pass It On," which an unidentified inside source said was Disney's version of the 1985 charity smash "We Are the World."

The song is being recorded later this week and a video is slated to be shot on Saturday for the tune, which was reportedly written by Adam Anders and Nikki Hassman, the same team behind "Hoedown Throwdown" from the soundtrack of "Hannah Montana: The Movie." A spokesperson for Hollywood Records, both artists' label, told MTV News there was no comment on the report at this time.

While Cyrus and Jonas have not worked together since their December 2007 split, the "Montana" star told Ryan Seacrest on Thursday that there's no drama between them.

"We don't hate each other," Cyrus told Seacrest. "We really love each other. He's really cool, and I'm happy we've been able to stay friends. Everyone thinks that me and the Jonas Brothers have this big feud going on, and me and Nick are really close friends now. We talk all the time and he's one of my best friends."

That's a bit of a turn-around from the period just after the couple's split, when Cyrus dyed her hair black and wrote the song "7 Things I Hate About You" about Jonas, telling Seventeen magazine that she cried for a month straight and went into a "weird funk" due to the breakup.

RPattz's Sexy Past Revealed

Robert's sexy modeling past is revealed!

Twilight fans have wanted more of Robert Pattinson — and now they've got it! Shirtless pictures from the actor's past
as a teen model have surfaced. "He was painfully shy and incredibly polite," photographer John-Paul Pietrus, who shot Robert in 2003 for a spread that's appeared in the South China Morning Post magazine, tells
Life & Style. "He was a bit nervous too because I had him in some pictures with a girl. The shoot was based on swimwear from the 1930s. He had his shirt off, so some skin might have made him nervous."

Juan Bayona To Direct 'Eclipse'

Juan Antonio Bayona To Direct 'Eclipse'

Third 'Twilight' flick would be Spanish director's English-language debut.

Many names have been tossed into the "Eclipse" director chair, but at this point the front-runner to helm the third movie in the "Twilight" saga is Guillermo del Toro protégé Juan Antonio Bayona.

The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Biz blog reports that the studio, Summit, declined to comment about Bayona directing the film, with a rep adding that the studio is still looking at several candidates to helm the project. Although many have been rumored to direct the film, including "New Moon" director Chris Weitz's brother, Paul Weitz, at this point Bayona seems like he's in the lead.

Most of Bayona's work has been based in the horror genre. The Spanish director was the man behind "The Orphanage." "Eclipse" would be Bayona's English-language directorial debut if he and Summit can hash out a deal.

Drew Barrymore had been rumored to direct the film, but it seems that is no longer the case. "I'm one of the directors that is being talked about, which is great, because I'm a director now," Barrymore recently told The Associated Press. "But, you know, they'll make their choice."

There was much drama surrounding the decision to replace "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke for "New Moon." After considerable speculation about why Summit had decided to replace Hardwicke, the director later said it was her choice to step away from the project. "I was devastated," said Hardwicke in her book, "Twilight: Director's Notebook." "I really did feel a strong connection to the people around the world that liked the movie, and to Stephenie [Meyer] and the actors. But I just didn't think I could make a good movie under those circumstances."

Stephenie Meyer

March 16, 2009

Hey guys! This is just a heads up about an event I'm involved with here in Phoenix. The plan was for me to go entirely hermit this year (or decade), but there are always those things important enough to pull me out of my burrow. One of my dear friends and mentors, Faith Hochhalter—a truly gifted book buyer who put together some of my most successful events—was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I am not the only author who was helped along by her talent and enthusiasm, and all of us who have enjoyed her influence in our lives and careers are eager to help her through this rough time. To assist with her medical bills, several young adult writers are joining together for a fund-raising event: Project Save the Book Babe. The event will be on April 4th in Tempe, AZ; it will include live music, a panel discussion with the attending authors, and an auction of some fun and/or rare items from each author. All the information about the event and the authors attending can be found at ProjectBookBabe.com. Personally, I'll be auctioning some ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies) of my books, an early marked up manuscript or two, my dress from the Eclipse prom, and the fluffy original epilogue to Forever Dawn, along with signed books, of course. We're still in the process of putting this together, so more info will be forthcoming over the next week. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow (Tuesday the 17th) so if you're interested in attending and helping us save our Book Babe Faith, hurry over to the site and check it out.

Thank you!

Steph

It seems that 'Steph' is not only an awesome writer, but an amazing persone; needless to say we all love her!

KStew & Reed To Reunite

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Twilight’ Stars Kristen Stewart & Nikki Reed To Reunite, Play Men In Prison Film ‘K-11’

Today, “Twilight” fans are finally coming out by the millions to see beautiful young actresses Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed star in the feature film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s beloved vampire book. Now, MTV has the scoop on the out-of-left-field concept that will reunite the real-life friends just a few weeks later…as men?

“I’m doing a movie called ‘K-11’ in January with Kristen Stewart,” Reed told us on the red carpet of the “Twilight” premiere Monday night. “It’s about a little-known section of the men’s county jail. I’m playing a man, and Kristen’s playing a boy.”

The term “K-11” refers to a dormitory section of the Los Angeles jail used to hold gay inmates, as explained in this 2004 L.A. Times story. According to a recent interview with Stewart, the film is a mixture of drama and comedy.

Although little else is known about the film, one of their co-stars will be Kevin Smith cult icon Jason Mewes, who recently confirmed his involvement with “K-11”in a radio interview and said that he’d dyed his hair black for the role. And although Reed didn’t have time to elaborate on how she and Stewart would be transforming themselves into testosterone-fueled prison inmates, the 20-year-old “Thirteen” star said she had confidence in the film’s director – who also happens to have an intimate connection with the lading lady of “Twilight.”

“Jules Stewart is directing; that’s her mother,” Reed explained of Kristen’s Australian-born mom, the veteran script supervisor behind such films as “Are We There Yet?” and “The Straight Story”. “I have full faith in Jules. I suppose I would be [nervous about the handling of our transformations] if it were coming from left field, but I’ve known about the script for a very long time.”

DVD Sells 3 Million Copies

'Twilight' DVD Sells More Than 3 Million Copies On First Day

Stars' appearances at midnight release parties draw big crowds.

'Breaking dawn' sold 1.3 million copies on just one memorable day. The movie adaptation of "Twilight" had a $70 million opening weekend in November. Now the juggernaut that is Stephenie Meyer's vampire romance franchise has continued its dizzying streak of commercial hits with the film selling more than 3 million DVDs on the first day of its release, according to distributor Summit Entertainment.

The hoopla began Friday night with a series of midnight events. Or rather, the craziness began hours earlier as young fans and their parents lined up at retail stores across the country to be among the first to take home a copy.

In Salt Lake City, 2,500 devotees braved lines, while 2,000 attended in Los Angeles and 700 showed up in New York. Several "Twilight" actors made appearances at the events, including Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale), Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria) and Edi Gathegi (Laurent). Director Catherine Hardwicke held court in Dallas, even though she will not be helming the next film in the series, "New Moon." Not in attendance, however, were the film's biggest stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

The opening sales make "Twilight" one of the five best-selling DVDs of the last two years, joining blockbusters "The Dark Knight," "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and "Transformers."

Now that Meyer's love story has conquered bookstores, box offices and living rooms, attention will only increase on the young-adult series that has already been swamped by media scrutiny, Internet gossip and a rapid fanbase with a seemingly insatiable hankering for all things "Twilight." Since 2005, the series' four books have sold 42 million copies across the globe and the "Twilight" movie has grossed more than $370 million worldwide.

"New Moon" has just begun filming in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is set for release in the fall. Last year may have been a good for Bella and Edward, but 2009 is shaping up to be even more impressive. And, of course, don't count out 2010, which will see both the DVD release of "New Moon" and the theatrical release of the third film, "Eclipse." Love them or hate them, those gothic lovers are here to stay.

Reed To Play A boy In 'K-11'

'Twilight' Star Nikki Reed To Play Transgender Woman In 'K-11'

'It is going to be very challenging,' actress says of her upcoming role.

SANTA MONICA, California — It's one of the most intriguing Hollywood movies currently in development. It marks the filmmaking debut of Kristen Stewart's mother. It will once again pair her red-hot Hollywood daughter alongside another sexy "Twilight" actress. Oh, and did we mention they're playing dudes?

Very little is known about the movie "K-11" — until now.

"K-11 is where they basically put people who wouldn't survive in the general population," Nikki Reed revealed of the project when she stopped by the MTV studios recently for an exclusive chat. "Sometimes celebrities, people who are HIV-positive, people who have raped or beaten children — any of those things. My character [named Mousey] is a male prostitute, and he goes in and out of the jail because it is comfortable to have a place to sleep and recoup and relax and have food and shelter — [when he] gets sent back out, there is a lot of underground drug stuff that is going on. [K-11] is a world in itself."

The duo's gutsy "Twilight" follow-up will dramatize the little-known Los Angeles jail section set aside for in-danger convicts. Stewart and Reed plan to shoot the movie during a brief window this summer between "New Moon" and "Eclipse."

"It's a great project, and obviously I have a lot of faith in Kristen and her mom, Jules Stewart, who wrote the script and is directing it," Reed said. "Kristen is playing a boy, and I am playing a man who is quite a few years older than she is. I am working more on my accent. Mousey is Mexican, and she comes from a very specific place in Southern California."

While the acting skills of Independent Spirit Award-winner Reed and "Into the Wild" star Stewart have always been impressive, both realize that they'll have to dig deep to pull off the gender-bending transformations. "There'll be a lot of prosthetics, makeup," explained the actress, who plays Rosalie Hale in the "Twilight" saga. "I thought it was difficult stepping into Rosalie's shoes! It's gonna be a lot more difficult stepping into Mousey's shoes. It is a very raw, edgy take on this story in this setting; it is going to be very challenging. I am not going to run away from it, but it certainly takes a lot of preparation mentally and physically."

And for those keeping score at home, Reed's difficult challenge will have her playing a him, trapped in the body of a her. "I don't really have the most androgynous look, so that is going to be interesting," laughed the stunner. "I'm playing a man who has become a woman. ... I was born a man, but I never felt like a man — I always knew that I was a woman. I just was born with the wrong body parts."

But, despite the smile on Nikki's face as she tried to explain Mousey's gender, she was quick to point out that "K-11" is not a comedy. "I think that with any genre, any material that is super heavy — smart writers tend to add a comedic element," she said of the script. "So, there are funny moments in there, and some of the things I do and say are pretty outrageous ... but I wouldn't categorize this as a comedy."

Co-starring Kevin Smith fave Jason Mewes, Reed told us that the film should be announcing additional casting soon — and in the meantime, KStew and Nikki will be perfecting their "K-11" characters between takes of the now-filming "New Moon." "[Stewart] doesn't have the same level of physical transformation as me, but she definitely came to the table with a plethora of ideas ... her character doesn't have facial hair or an Adam's apple [because] she is playing more of a boy."

Greene Surprises LA At Party

'Twilight' Star Ashley Greene Surprises L.A. Fans At DVD-Release Party

'She's gonna be so disappointed that I'm not Rob [Pattinson],' Greene jokes about a fan.

HOLLYWOOD, California — Hundreds of people were bitten by "Twilight" mania Friday night, as the immense Hollywood & Highland complex was overtaken by shrieking fans of the vampire series. After word spread that star Ashley Greene had chosen to celebrate the film's DVD release with an appearance at the mall's Hot Topic store, Twilighters began lining up mid-afternoon. By midnight, chants of "Ashley! Ashley" were filling the night air, and only discs full of bonus features could quench the thirst of the grinning mob.

"We're very hopeful. I have an intuition," claimed Madison, 23, standing near the front of the long line with her friends and insisting that she shares a special power with Greene's character, Alice Cullen. "I decided to come here tonight because I knew something would happen. I am confident!"

"We're so excited. There have been people here since 2:30, and the more people that show up the more exciting it gets," said Tammy, 32. "I might just have to crash in my car after it all. I've never been so excited. This is all a movement. ... We're having a party tomorrow and making 'vampire kiss' martinis!"

All night long Twilighters shared messages on Facebook, Twitter and other web sources, playing "Where's Waldo?" all over the country with their favorite stars, who were making surprise appearances at DVD-release parties. Catherine Hardwicke popped up somewhere in Texas; Nikki Reed was in Chicago; Solomon Trimble posted on his Facebook that he'd be at a Wal-Mart in Wood Village, Oregon.

"Everyone's everywhere," Greene laughed when we spoke with her at a secret location in the catacombs of the mall, just moments before she surprised the shrieking fans. "I was wondering how the crowd turnouts were going to be, because I was thinking, 'There's a ton of us [actors], and I don't know if there's that many fans. But I've heard that there are a ton of fans here, and they're really excited. [The studio] threw us all over the country, and nobody knows where we are. It's a big secret, and I'm excited!"

Still, she said, even after a year of life as Alice Cullen she isn't accustomed to the craziness. "It makes me really nervous; you don't get used to it," the actress admitted. "At least I don't yet; check with me in five years. It's amazing. I've said time and time again that just to be part of something like this, you don't dream it. Obviously, you want to make films and movies — but this is kind of a phenomenon.

"It's an amazing feeling to know that people care so much about the film that they've seen it however many times — and they're still here, at midnight, buying the DVD before it even reaches stores," she marveled. "It's an ego boost."

Speaking of phenomena, we asked her to rank the three biggest teen fan bases out there right now: "Twilight," Miley and the JoBros. "In my life, obviously it's 'Twilight.' It's the huge determining factor in my life and my career!" she said, adding, "But that's not to say that the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus aren't amazing."

Asked which fan base would win in a bloody duel to the death, however, Greene didn't let her followers down. "We would kick butt," she laughed. "We're all awesome vampires."

With our interview concluded, Greene gave us big hugs and hoped she wouldn't be a letdown for the fans outside — especially those like Vanessa, 16, who had been at the front of the line since 2:30. "She's gonna be so disappointed that I'm not Rob," the actress laughed.

Of course, such statements couldn't be further from the truth. On this evening, after a deafening countdown to midnight from the line, Greene would show up on cue, jump behind the counter and say hello to everyone who bought a DVD. The affable actress would smile for photos, talk about "New Moon" and enjoy her night as an honorary Hot Topic clerk.

But before she went in, as the fans' shrieking reached its feverish pitch and flashes went off everywhere, Greene spotted 15-year-old Naelli Ortega, who was wearing a black "Twilight" T-shirt and sitting in her wheelchair near the front of the line. Holding up the festivities for a moment, the actress posed for photos with Ortega and her friends — even waiting patiently as someone tried to figure out how to work the camera — and then planted a big kiss on Ortega's cheek.

"I saw the movie three times," Ortega said, beaming after her celebrity encounter.

"I saw it 13 times in theaters. I have all the ticket stubs to prove it," said her friend Julietta Bennett, 18. Asked why she'd wait in line 12 hours to buy a movie she'd already seen so many times, her answer was simple: "Because it's awesome!"

T. Stars To Surprise Fans

'I'm going to sneak into one,' Edi Gathegi says of midnight bashes across the country.

SANTA MONICA, California — The "Twilight" movie might not be in 3-D, but as it arrives to DVD and Blu-ray on Saturday, don't be surprised if you find one of its stars jumping off the screen and into the room with you.

"I'm not usually the kind of guy that would go to [a fan event] or try to sneak into one," actor Edi Gathegi said recently, revealing plans that will undoubtedly leave some fans shrieking this weekend. "But I'm going to step outside of my comfort zone."

With the feverishly anticipated "Twilight" special-edition DVD landing in stores Saturday, midnight parties are being planned at bookshops, video stores and other locations all over the country. Twilighters can find the parties near them by visiting the movie's Web site and entering their ZIP code.

On Wednesday, a rep for Summit Entertainment confirmed an unprecedented plan for the DVD launch: "Twilight" stars are being dispatched to secret locations all over the country. If you attend one of the midnight launch parties listed on the site, you could come face-to-face with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart or other favorites.

Likely included in these drop-ins are director Catherine Hardwicke and the vampire Laurent himself, Gathegi. "I'm going to sneak into one," he grinned when we asked him about his plans recently. "I don't know which one I'm going to yet, but I just got off the phone with Catherine, like, a few hours ago, and she might be going to one."

Fan speculation is sure to run rampant over the next several days, as fans debate which of their locations could host a "Twilight" star. But even if they don't end up hanging out with the newly buff Taylor Lautner, fans seem likely to still be thrilled with their DVDs — which include exclusive featurettes, a new audio commentary track from the stars and a seven-part behind-the-scenes documentary.

Korean Version of T.

The Korean version of "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer is strikingly different from its American counterpart. Instead of the black, red and white theme of our "Twilight" series, the book's cover is a soft white and gold. And the Korean edition for sale in my neighborhood, above, comes with a medallion adorned with the airy pastel sketches of Bella and Edward together. And you might notice, they don't look anything like Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart, stars of the recent film. Which happens to be on its way to stores; the DVD goes on sale later this week. If the film's opening box office can foretell DVD sales, it'll wind up in the homes of tween girls very, very quickly. Is it significant that these young actors are now so visually identified with Edward and Bella? For three years, the two characters lived only in the imaginations of their readers and looked however readers imagined they looked. There was room for the wispy and pastel-y Korean ideal, or any other. Any girl who loved the Twilight series could picture herself in Bella's shoes — and house and school and Edward's arms — in Forks, Wash. I'm always torn between the urge to see my favorite books brought to life on screen and the desire to let them stay safe in my imagination. The screen versions can be so powerful that they imprint the actors and scenes indelibly upon the original stories — just as the actors' faces often end up on post-movie book covers. Will the international blond Bella, blue-eyed Bella and Japanese duo give way to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart? Or will the imagination (and book cover designers) keep them alive?

Question

I know it ur choice,
and u can choose anything u want at my poll,
but who clicked 'say no'

If u ever read this is really wanna know!

Latest Gossip[T.]

The New Drew Barrymore
The youngest Barrymore has never been afraid to take risks. Her latest gambit: starring opposite Jessica Lange in HBO’s retelling of the classic 1975 documentary Grey Gardens. And, rumor has it, she might soon venture further into the gothic mists, as director of the third Twilight film.

KStew Excited -After All-About New Moon

Despite the near Twi-Twit riot Kristen Stewart caused via her interview in Nylon mag, in which she seemingly bashed the crazed fans, K told us she’s actually thrilled to get back into New Moon. And we sorta believe her. “We’re going to pick up right where we left off,” she said with as much enthusiasm as Kristen can possibly emit (she’s not exactly the bubbly chick). That said, she had deets to offer:

“I’m so excited because the story is scaled down a little bit. [Edward] leaves her, and that’s sort of what the entire first movie is based on,” K.S. semi-enthused. So if you take that away, there is still a story, which I think is impressive.” Holy smokes, Twi-Twits! Is that a genuine compliment about the Twilight franchise Stewart previously termed “ridiculous"? Maybe. And which costar is Stewart most decidedly unambivalent about seeing again?

A.T.: Who are you most excited to see when you get up to Vancouver?

K.T.: “Taylor Lautner!” screamed the woman who supposedly romanced—onscreen and off—mega-vamp hunk Rob Pattinson. “[Lautner]’s still playing Jacob and that’s, like, the coolest thing.” Stewart practically drooled: “He’s buff, too. 'Cause that’s so important,” she added sarcastically, as if that snap-save was going to throw us off one damn bit. (She totally didn’t get the uproar ‘bout cutie Lautner not being able to play Jacob because he wasn’t strong enough, and we didn’t either.)

A.T.: So is he up to the challenge of taking Rob’s place?

K.S.: He’s so good, and that will be a feat, but I think he’s got it.

A.T.: You’re excited then about the new direction of this film?

K.S.: I can’t wait to see how [Jacob] is able to pull [Bella] out, but he does. She’s like a zombie and he’s the light. It’s such a tragic story. It’s like, ‘That’s who I should be with, but I’m totally in love with the guy I shouldn’t be with.’ Girls are like that. It’s relatable.

HWicke & 'Maximum Ride'

Three months after Summit Entertainment announced that Catherine Hardwicke will not be filming the Twilight sequel, the director is in talks to helm an adaptation of another young-adult fantasy series, Maximum Ride. Ride is a five-volume series by perennial best-seller list chart-topper James Patterson that follows six genetically altered teenagers known as "the Flock." (The teens are half human, half bird). According to The Hollywood Reporter, Patterson will executive produce the film while screenwriter Don Payne is signed on to pen the script.

KStew Talks About Twilight

"Wild Child"

The unhinged behavior of a Malibu princess (Emma Roberts) prompts her frustrated father to send her to an all-girls English boarding school in this teen comedy penned by Lucy Dahl (daughter of Roald Dahl and a boarding school alumni herself) and directed by Nick Moore. Poppy is a bratty, self-absorbed 16-year-old whose pampered L.A. childhood has left her with a notable sense of self entitlement. Showered with unlimited-balance credit cards and constantly flanked by a horde of hangers-on, the ill-mannered Poppy loudly lets her parents know just how frustrated she is with her current family situation. When Poppy pulls a prank that goes further over the top than she originally intended, however, her frustrated father (Aidan Quinn) decides that it's high time his spoiled daughter understands the true concept of discipline and sends her off to boarding school in England. Upon arriving at her new school, American princess Poppy is taken aback to learn that she must follow the rules laid out by the stern matrons in charge, be in bed by curfew, and of course take part in mandatory lacrosse matches. While Poppy is at first confident that she can contend with any and all of these stifling lifestyle changes without due concern, there's one variable that hasn't factored into her self-centered equation -- her classmates. Now, as Poppy begins to realize that her British classmates simply won't tolerate her self-centered ways, she reluctantly admits defeat while vowing to shake up her stuffy school as she makes the transition from reckless youth to refined lady. With the ever-present headmistress (Natasha Richardson) presiding watchfully over the student body, however, Poppy mischievously sets out to prove that just because you're proper doesn't mean you can't have a little fun every now and then.

Gathegi Says NM Is More Active

'I definitely get to sink my teeth into something,' Gathegi says of his character Laurent.

SANTA MONICA, California — Edi Gathegi recently reunited with his "Twilight" co-stars in Vancouver, kicking off the lengthy process of shooting the highly anticipated sequel "New Moon." But before he left, he stopped by the MTV studio to fill us in on some top-secret script details, what it's like to pump iron with Taylor Lautner and what we can expect next from the vampire Laurent.

I'm going up to Vancouver for some preproduction stuff and rehearsals. The entire cast is going to be up there," said the actor, who recently starred in "My Bloody Valentine 3D," making him the first "Twilight" star to have a hit film follow-up (there's already talk of Gathegi returning in a sequel). "We're going to be doing a whole bunch of fun stuff.

"I've read the script — it's very good," Gathegi explained, praising the talents of returning screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. Comparing the script to Stephenie Meyer's 563-page novel, he said, "It's a lot more active — in the best possible way — than I thought it was going to be."

Although the novel is peppered with failed romance, depression and thoughts of suicide, Gathegi insisted that the second story is better because anticipation becomes reality. "I'm actually one of the people that think that 'New Moon' is pretty active. There's a fraction of people who think it's slow because [Edward Cullen] is gone for a long time, and [Bella] is going through depression — but I think it's more active than 'Twilight,' " he explained. "In 'Twilight,' it's the anticipation every day. The anticipation of 'What is he?' And then you discover what he is. 'New Moon,' I think, has a little more forward movement; which is great for a movie.

"And I love what I get to do in it," he said with a wicked grin. "I definitely get to sink my teeth into something."

Gathegi also loves the recent activity of co-star Taylor Lautner — one of his best friends on the "Twilight" cast. When Lautner's youthful appearance presented him with a possible exile from "New Moon," the two actors pledged to hit the gym together — and the results have spoken for themselves.

"He does not let up. I ask, 'What do we do?' [and he replies] 'Everything! The whole routine,' " Gathegi said of their regimen. "I could say that he's definitely one of the most committed people that I have ever seen at the gym. I think I might have been like him when I was younger — I go off and on, even right now. This kid just stays at the focus point.

"[Lautner] does free-weights: bi's, tri's, shoulders, legs," Gathegi marveled. "He's ready [to play the older Jacob Black]. His job depends on it, and he has to be this way and get bigger for the rest of the series. I mean, this kid is incredible!"

The biggest news for Gathegi these days, however, is that the movie version of Laurent won't go down without a fight. "[In the novel] they talk about me getting chased and destroyed by the werewolves — and in the movie, we'll see what they have me do," he revealed cryptically. "We might show it."

Exl 'T.' DVD Bonus - part 2

SANTA MONICA, California — If you think the only holiday this month is St. Patrick's Day, you must not be a Twilighter. March 21 will bring midnight parties at malls, bookstores and special events all over the country as "Twilight" finally arrives on DVD.

But according to two stars from the film, one party promises to be the wildest of them all.

"Kellan is having a party over at his place," Edi Gathegi said of a bash hosted by his co-star Kellan Lutz. "It's not really a public thing, but I just might go get the DVD and go to his place afterwards. Although, it sounds a little funny. He wants to dress up in onesies and eat M&M's and then watch the DVD."

You can start your own party now with this brand-new, exclusive bonus footage that will appear on the DVD, depicting the rabid response that greeted the "Twilight" cast last summer at Comic-Con. But if you bump into the man known as Emmett Cullen between now and March 21, you might be able to talk your way into his party — especially if you promise to bring candy.

"There's going to be a whole bunch of 'Twilight' parties, and I decided to throw one with my roommates, because it's really hard to actually hear the whole movie when you're watching it with fans," Lutz said. "It's going to be really nice to be able to sit back and watch it at my place with my roommates."

Some Twilighters like to imagine their heartthrob in various states of undress — but if you get into Lutz's party, you'll find him snuggled up like a little kid with his roommates.

"I got them all Snuggies for Christmas — it's a blanket with sleeves," Lutz said of the as-seen-on-TV robes he recently gave his roomies. "So we're just going to be dorks and watch the movie.

"I'm addicted to buying online," Lutz explained of his purchase. "One of my roommates wears it as a cape. I don't know if he does it on purpose, or if he just thinks that's how it's supposed to be put on. I also upgraded them — they're supposed to be $19.99 for two, but they really get you when [you see] the upgrade page that says if you want to have double the cotton or pockets, it's 59 bucks. I didn't realize, until I checked out, that my Snuggies that I bought for everyone ended up being about 60 bucks, plus 10 bucks each for shipping! So the whole ordeal cost me a pretty penny."

Much like Emmett, Twilighters have come to love Lutz for the muscular actor's endearing, teddy-bear-like charm. But if you think his party couldn't get any crazier, you haven't heard about what he'll be wearing under his Snuggie.

"We do pajama parties," he explained. "[We're] going to be wearing onesies. ... We'll play games and throw the special-edition DVD on the big screen.

"[They have] feet in the pajamas, so you can slide around, and some have butt flaps," Kellan Lutz said of his onesie. "I love them. I had a Care Bears one when I was growing up, like [age] 6 or 7. Now they make adult sizes. ... Mine is ninja-style. It's all black and has a hood. It doesn't have a butt flap, but my roommate's does. He's 6-foot-7. It has a butt flap, and he'll run around with it open — which is not a pretty sight."

So is Gathegi welcome to join in on the pajama-palooza? "Edi will get an invite," Lutz promised.

"That might be a little too intimate for me," Gathegi teased, promising that he'll attend Lutz's party but leave his pajamas at home. "We're a big family, the 'Twilight' family. So I might just make [Lutz's party] the last stop of the evening."

'Twilight' Stars Thank Fans

Nikki Reed Won't Dye Her Hair

'This time around, we are testing out different wigs and stuff,' Reed reveals.

SANTA MONICA, California — Later this year, the stars of "Twilight" will return in the highly anticipated sequel "New Moon." But first, they'll be undergoing an extreme makeover.

"I think we are just perfecting it," Nikki Reed explained when she stopped by the MTV studio recently, revealing the conversations she's had with new franchise director Chris Weitz. "I think it will be a little bit different, and we'll perfect it for the best."

It's no secret that the team on the original "Twilight" struggled mightily — and occasionally found their efforts enraging fans — as they attempted to perfect the hairstyles of the Cullen clan. Now, with a new director and bigger budget, Reed revealed that Weitz is determined to get things right.

"[My conversation with him] was revolving around the look of the Cullens; I don't know if we necessarily got it right the first time around," Reed explained. "We weren't expecting all the weather issues and all the makeup we had to put on. Every single character [had a hard time]. I know a lot of people think it was just me that changed how I looked physically, but Peter Facinelli has black hair, and he has to go back blond [for 'New Moon']. And Kellan Lutz, who is a natural blond, has to go back to dark hair."

Now, as the cast heads into "New Moon" and "Eclipse" back-to-back (and "Breaking Dawn" likely to film after those), Reed said they're hoping to streamline the process.

"We all had hours of hair and makeup in the morning, and then when we showed up on set, it was raining," she remembered of her experiences filming the first "Twilight" flick, which hits DVD March 21. "And because we are vampires, we can't shoot in the sun! So, we were always shooting when it was cloudy, and then there was hail, and the makeup was pouring off. It was an experimental process — now, I think, we are more prepared."

But what will this mean for the fans? Reed said the die-hards might notice some of the changes — like her plan to wear a wig this time rather than dye her hair again. "My hair fell out," she winced. "It took 36 hours initially to make me blond, and every other day, I was bleaching my head and my skin. This time around, we are testing out different wigs and stuff."

Before the Twilighters start judging the change, however, Reed wanted to point out one thing: The franchise stars went above-and-beyond to make their original hairdos work. "I really wanted the fans to understand that I was dedicated, and I was going to do whatever I needed to do, even at the expense of going bald," said the 20-year-old, who hopes to squeeze in the film "K-11" with Kristen Stewart between the "Twilight" sequels. "But it was such a brutal process, plus we have a break in between where I have a couple of other projects. And then I go back to Rosalie. So I don't think I'm bleaching my hair this time. I know how upset everyone is going to be, but [my devotion to Rosalie] is why I did it initially.

"The goal is for something better, just better, all around better," she said of Weitz's upcoming attempt to give the Cullens an extreme makeover. "I think we are always striving to better ourselves. And the fact that we are all vampires in the first place ... of course we are going to look unnatural. [But in the first film], all of us looked unnatural."

Meyer in Vogue - part 2

Whats next for my Stephanie Meyer in Vogue post.
So, the whole interview in vogue is here.
Here are the more important stuff that I promised you I was gonna talk aboutin my previous post, so that u dont have to read the detailed interview
She may prefer to write late at night while her family sleeps, but for the record, there is not a lot about Stephenie Meyer, author of the better-than-best-selling Twilight series, that screams vampire. Yes, she has long dark hair and earthy brown eyes, but she lacks the arrogance associated with vampireness.
During the day, she's mostly around—running errands, picking up the kids, hanging out, which in her case means fielding calls about scripts and producers and interviews.
If Law & Order is on TV at her house, forget writing. "I can't move until it's over," she says. "If it's a marathon, the day's gone."
Yes, she will show up at a star-studded opening of her own film, mugging with the actors more like a schoolgirl than the creator of this gothic juggernaut, and yes, she clearly loves her fans (mostly girls), but the very thought of her own success can make her a little queasy. Just about a year ago, on the set of Twilight, she watched dozens of people re-create the cafeteria she had imagined as the lunchtime home of her heroine, Bella, and Bella's problematic suitor, Edward Cullen, who is older than Bella by a century or so, as well as undead and living with a large family of vampires. "I suddenly realized that all of this was happening because I wrote a story down," she says, "and it made me a little sick to my stomach."
Teenagers stood in line for days all over the country to help the movie version of Twilight gross $70 million in its first weekend last November. New Moon is currently in production. And all for a couple of characters that—literally—came to Meyer one night in a dream. "It's an uncomfortable kind of power," she says. "It's not like, Aha! Now I am going to take over the world! It's like, Really? Are you sure? I'm constantly waiting for someone to say, 'You are on Candid Camera. You've been punked!' "

SETTING THE SCENE

many thx to petalo for the news, the idea and the photo! click here for video

He does come out in the daylight! Robert Pattinson – who recently said he's happily single – channels his vampire alter ego Edward Cullen on the set of New Moon, shooting Wednesday in Vancouver. Even though our beloved KStew said the first official day would be march 23rd. Check out mu new moon countdown to see how much time till it is finally released

RPattz Doesn't Want a Gf Now

Robert Pattinson would like to clear something up: He's more like his prim Twilight character Edward than blogs would have you believe.

"There's literally not a single [true] story that could be written about me," Pattinson, 22, tells GQ for its April cover story, addressing rumors that he loves to party all night. "I never do anything."

"There's this thing about my supposed girlfriend," he says, referencing online gossip about his putatively scandalous dating life. "There's this one girl who's consistently mentioned. It's like, 'He's dating this Brazilian model.' What's her name – Annelyse? I've never met her."

Nor is he dating Camilla Belle, currently linked to Joe Jonas (of the Jonas Brothers), despite the fact that they were photographed walking together recently.

"I'm friends with Camilla," he says. "That's the extent of it. I mean, Camilla's the nicest – she's a saint. And it's funny that she's being portrayed as this home wrecker. She's literally the most unlikely person to be a home wrecker. It's just ridiculous."

In fact, the actor, who will soon appear as artist Salvador Dali in Little Ashes, says he's happily single.

"I don't see people," he says. "I don't even have people's phone numbers. I almost don't want to have a girlfriend in this environment."

Reed 'So Proud' of Lautner

As the Twilight cast heads to Vancouver this week to begin rehearsals for the film's sequel, New Moon, Nikki Reed says she's relieved to have pal Taylor Lautner in the cast.

"I'm so proud of him," she tells PEOPLE. "He didn't have the part."

Lautner, who portrayed Jacob in Twilight, had to audition to keep his role in New Moon because the character undergoes a drastic physical transformation and becomes a hulking werewolf.

"Everybody knew he was going to have to fight for this," says Reed, 20, who plays vampire Rosalie Hale. "He was at the gym twice or three times a day. He was on a nutrition and workout regime for the last year not knowing if he would be in this film."

"We were all on edge," Reed says about waiting to hear if Lautner had been cast again as Jacob. "It got closer and closer, and it was heartbreaking. Kristen [Stewart] and I were in Africa when we got the call saying he got the part. She's so stoked."

Preparing to begin filming with director Chris Weitz at the end of March shortly following the March 21 release of the Twilight DVD, Reed says she's glad it wasn't her that had to audition again.

"I don't know if I would have had the confidence to do that, and be told 'no' if it didn't work out. He just went in there and said, 'I'm going to do the best that I can.' And it paid off. I'm so happy for him."

RPattz GQ cover story

Believe it or not from the amount of Twilight items I've written(because I enjoyed the books and saw the movie), I've never felt the need to know more about Robert Pattinson. But then I was sent the link to his revealing GQ cover story, and the profile of a young star incapable of lying -- and prone to panic attacks -- clearly intrigued me....

• Being smart, GQ put a link that reads "CLICK HERE FOR MORE PHOTOS OF ROBERT PATTINSON" at the top of the story. Obviously, I clicked. First shot is the cover photo of Rob (already, I know him!) in a $2,500 wool suit. Nice, but a little underwhelming compared to that naked Jennifer Aniston cover. Next, a shot of him smoking a cigarette. Brave or bound to get him letters from angry moms? The third pic must be viewed, for it is the finest black-and-white art shot of his hair ever taken. The fourth is the only one I'd consider supersmokin'. This could be because he's lying down, in a black T-shirt and torn jeans, clasping his hands over his manbits. He's like one of the Outsiders...bathed.

• The piece, written by Alex Pappademas, opens with Pattinson's Twilight costar Kristen Stewart saying that Rob cannot lie. It's her favorite thing about him -- and Pappademas', too. (You'll understand why when you've read the story.) Pattinson says silences in conversation make him nervous. "During interviews I'm literally s---ting my pants. I don't want there to be a silence, because I'll start crying." Wait, I don't think he's joking.

• Hmmm, maybe my bathed theory is wrong. "His clothes smell like he has recently purchased them off the back of someone less fortunate than he."

• The place he's staying at in L.A. has the first microwave he's ever had. (Do they not have modern appliances in the U.K.?) He reports that he spends a lot of time looking for new things to nuke: frozen cheeseburgers. A carrot. Who microwaves a carrot? Suddenly, I'm intrigued.

• The story of how he got Twilight. Blah, blah, blah. Down-and-out post-Potter in Beverly Hills (or wherever his agent lives) and sleeping on a couch...Valium! He couldn't remember how to do an American accent when he auditioned so he calmed his nerves with Valium: "It was the first time I've ever taken Valium.... A quarter. A quarter of a Valium. I tried to do it for another audition, and it just completely backfired -- I was passing out." As Pappademas notes, drugs are bad, kids.

• Re: that out of control signing at a San Francisco mall, "Pattinson claims not to remember the chaos that resulted, although he says it in a shaky voice, like someone claiming not to remember s--- that went down in Nam." I laughed out loud. Then felt guilty.

• Seriously beginning to worry about Pattinson: As a kid, he'd freak out when someone would make eye contact with him on a bus. He's tall but hunches over to disappear. He must hate making appearances. "His first thought, whenever he finds himself in one of these crowds, is always, Someone could very easily stab me."

• Someone needs to do a special on Young Hollywood's 40 Greatest Coming-of-Fame Stories where they tell their most awesome/horrifying story. This one from Pattinson would be Top 10, for sure. After shaking paparazzi and parking at a gas station so he could eat his In-N-Out burger in peace, he looked over to see a woman performing fellatio on a man in the next car. Now I know what I'll say to Pattinson if I ever meet him: "Did that couple in that parking lot notice you? Did you stay or drive away? Who was the first person you called to tell the story to?"

• Despite tabloid reports saying he's single and ready to mingle, he says he's single and staying home to watch movies, microwave, and read all the gossip blogs and Twilight fan fiction. "It's surprisingly hard-core. And very well written," he says of the latter. I'm guessing by "hard-core" he means he only reads the MA stories, too? Is he reading this blog post right now? If so.... Hi, Rob. See my three questions above.

• A little bit of bio information -- "mom worked for a modeling agency, his dad was a luxury-car importer" -- bored now. Rob knows it though. "There's literally not a single [true] story that could be written about me," he says. "I never do anything." I hope it stays that way and we're not seeing that quote used against him a year from now.

• Asked to cite an untrue rumor, he says he's never even met Annelyse, a Brazilian model with whom he's been repeatedly linked. Then he's asked about an alleged love triangle with Camilla Belle and Joe Jonas. It's not true, he says, providing a long story that even GQ didn't follow. (He and Camilla are just friends, he explains, in a way that leads Pappademas to write "Either Pattinson can't lie, or he can't lie very well.") Can I just say that if I ever find myself seriously lusting after Pattinson I will come back to this page and remind myself that I'm too old to be hot for someone who's been implicated in a love triangle with a Jonas Brother.

• Pattinson wishes he could handle (or not handle) press like Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando. "The only way to establish any kind of mystique," he says, "is to completely shut up and never talk to anyone. And I'm contractually obligated not to shut up." I get what he's saying. But honestly, there doesn't seem to be anything so enigmatic or eccentric about him (save the microwaving) that's worthy of being hidden.

• Now we're talking about Little Ashes, his next film, shot before Twilight. He plays a young Salvador Dalí. He was afraid he'd look like an idiot in the role. Bored again.

• Oh wait, I'm back!!! "In a lot of ways," Pattinson says, "I was kind of crossing lines of what I thought I was comfortable doing. I had to do all this naked stuff." According to Pappademas, some of the film's homoerotic scenes are "portrayed artfully and obliquely" and some aren't. "Trying to do it doggie-style. Trying to have a nervous breakdown while doing it doggie-style..." he says, laughing. Pattinson might have a better sense of humor than I've given him credit for. He admits that the film probably wouldn't have been released had he not become Twilight's Edward. That's honest.

• Ten minutes into the film at the American Twilight premiere, he had to leave his mother in the theater and go have a panic attack in the car.

• Retraction: Maybe there are some things about Pattinson that should remain a mystery: He hates watching himself onscreen because he's afraid he'll see a fraud, someone who's faking his emotions. He's caught himself doing it in real life. One time, when he was a teen and thought his girlfriend cheated on him, he pretended to cry and climbed into his dog's bed and held on to the pup -- even though he actually felt nothing. I will return to this page if I ever think about dating an actor.

• This is the longest profile I've ever read. Or maybe it's just because I'm writing a dissertation on it. Pattinson gets approached by two fans during the interview. Patty and Eva. They're happy that he looks just as good in person as he does onscreen. (They work at a Victoria's Secret store and claim Heidi Klum doesn't.) Pattinson seems charming enough, signing autographs and posing for pictures. You were in a restaurant, Rob. They could've had knives. Just sayin'.

• He says he's "never told s--- about anything" and hasn't seen the New Moon script. (The interview was done in December.) He's curious about how they'll make the darker book into a teen film when there's "very, very little happiness." He must be psyched that the studio just hired Juan Antonio Bayona for Eclipse. Go dark, Rob. BRING IT.

• Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke says she sees him in the kinds of interesting roles Johnny Depp does. I'd like to believe that, but I'm not there yet.

• Turns out Pattinson might not be there yet either. Asked what he wants to do post-Twilight franchise, he mentions having a production company or indie record label, but not acting. Called on it, he says, "If it all just went, right now, I'd be like, 'All right. I don't really care.'" His only concern is not to do anything so embarrassing that he becomes a joke and can't get another job in another profession. (Pappademas wonders if he's really that carefree and flexible, or if it's just easier not to set acting goals when you don't know if you'll be typecast as a beautiful bloodsucker. Good question.)

• It's official, his sense of humor IS better than I thought: Asked if there's anything he wanted to talk about that Pappademas didn't bring up, Pattinson says, "'Okay." Takes a deep breath. "I f---ed Joe Jonas...I love him."

• He takes out his cellphone, has no messages, and says, "Not a single person calls me." Now he's GOT to be lying.

• Oh, this is great: Leaving the interview, Pappademas and Pattinson are accosted by a 16-year-old paparazzo. When the pictures show up on the Internet a few days later, the day and time are wrong. Pappademas is a "mystery male." That's a nice look into the machine.

• The piece ends with a nice metaphor as Pattinson, who gives Pappademas a ride to his hotel, finally figures out which button he needs to push in his rented Audi S4 to clear the foggy windshield and see where he's headed.
